Proud to be a Girl

L
isten…can you hear my voice?  Read… can you see what I think?

I am proud to be a girl.

was not born to be pushed around – by anyone.

My mind belongs to me. No one dictates to me what I should think or how I should act. I will use my mind and my talents to the fullest extent, without reservation and without limits.

My heart is my own. I will participate in the joy of living in every possible way. I will participate as a full citizen of this world, without hesitation and without boundaries.

I do not speak for myself alone. I speak for millions and millions of other girls. We are here, in this world, and we are here to stay.

Learn to believe in the future. Learn to believe in the power of girls.

  1. This is wonderful. Thanks for reminding us girls that we are equally important to be wherever we are and living free.

  2. Thank you so much for your kind words! I think articles - and deeds - of support are beneficial but more importantly we males should just get the heck out of the way of women and stop blocking their access to the full richness of life and stop smothering their voices at every turn. Women everywhere should have unfettered access to education and should be fully entitled to their rights as citizens of the world. But, again, we males block the way. That has got to stop.
